1/32 Scale Slot Car Racing Started at Slot Shop (originally on every second Saturday night) back in mid 2004 with the same race (Race Night 1) every two weeks.

As the guys and girls collections expanded everyone requested more classes, which is why we now have 8 consecutive race nights with generally 3 classes per night. The racing season is generally every week from mid January to mid December.

All our classes are non magnet, this allows different brands of the same class of slot car to compete on more equal terms, offers a much more realistic scale speed and minimises car damage... To the extent that some of us are racing cars over 4 years old.

To make the non magnet driving experience easier we generally lower the track voltage to 10 volts instead of the usual 12- 13.8 volts used for magnet traction slot cars.

Some racers prefer to only have a few slot cars to compete on selected race nights, but more often than not end up racing most race nights.
