Rookie Slot Car Racing… Wednesday nights!

Due to popular demand (and a successful trial run last week) Rookie Racing will be run every Wednesday night at 7:00PM and will coincide with our regular series of racing.

These classes are intended to introduce/reintroduce both adults and children to the excitement of modern scale slot car racing.

The ever popular Aussie V8's Scalextric V8 Super Cars will feature and the rules are as follows:

• No magnet/20 cent coin in magnet slots. No additional weight allowed
• Racing on 10 volts on one of our selected tracks ... This will vary week to week
• If your car is lowered, it must run without the ballast coin.
• Box stock, guide springs may be removed. 
• Any tyres available at Slot Shop. A control REAR tyre will be announced in the near future.
• An inner roof upper roof success ballast weight or inline resistor must be added when directed at management’s discretion.
• 2-5 minutes heats depending on amount of drivers entered into the event.
• $5 entry fee per class per driver... Controller Hire included for a limited time.
• Track open for free practise from 6:30pm @10 volts

 Modern GT's:

• Box stock (unmodified) Carrera, Ninco and Scalextric Modern GT/Touring cars with the Standard Traction Magnets installed.
• Racing on 12 volts on one of our selected tracks ... This will vary week to week
• Ninco Pro Race and Lightening are not eligible to enter.
• Standard motors.
• Interior cars Maximum Magnetic down force 300 grams.
• Non interior cars (Blacked out windows) maximum downforce 200 Grams
• Suitable Indy Grip or MaxxTrac Tyres may be used on the rear.
• 2-5 minutes heats depending on amount of drivers entered into the event.
• $5 entry fee per class per driver... Controller Hire included for a limited time.
• Check with us to make your car is eligible if unsure.
• Free pratcise sessions not available for this class.
  

Due to public liability issues, we are no longer able to allow or offer use of our tools, glues or oils.
This is not negotiable!
Oils, tools and glues are available for purchase at Slot Shop.

Please ensure your cars are race ready in advance, as we will not be able to offer assistance after 5pm on race nights.
